A large percentage of women still wear the disgusting burqa because they feel it gives them kind of protection. There are many cases of sexual abuse on women across Afghanistan and in most cases warlords are engaged in the crime. Few months back one out of hundreds of such cases was publicized: Rahima, a 14-yars old girl from Qunduz province was abducted by an armed group and she was missing for 3 weeks. When police finally found her, it was disclosed that she has been frequently raped by 12 armed men.
