According to surveys over 17% of Afghan population is disabled due to 2 decades of war but no attention has been paid to their situation. They have staged demonstrations in Kabul a number of times to condemn government and NGOs for ignoring disables. They say we don’t want to beg just provide facilities for us to work and make a living. But today unfortunately many of them have no other option but to beg in the streets.
