RAWA stages protest rally on IHRD
police stops hundreds of women to join it

On International Human Rights Day, RAWA staged a protest rally in front of the UN office in Saudi Pak Tower at Islamabad. The participates presented a resolution to the UN office. But police stopped hundreds of women who were going to join the rally from Peshawar. When buses full of hundreds women and girls from different refugee camps from Peshawar arrived at Attack, a large number of police stopped the buses and asked the women to return to Peshawar because they have been ordered not to allow RAWA women to go for the demonstration to Islamabad. So these women returned and holding banners marched through the main roads of Peshawar city and chanted slogans against fundamentalists and for freedom and democracy in Afghanistan.
