Taliban agree to Chechen govt in exile

MOSCOW (Internews) - Chechen envoys have managed to get an agreement from the leadership of the Taliban for President Aslan Maskhadov's government to reside in Afghanistan, Inter Tass reported on Monday. "Chechen government in exile will reside on the Afghan territory controlled by the Taliban," Inter-Tass correspondent Vladimir Suprun reported. According to the report, the two sides reached this agreement in the last few days when representatives from Grozny visited Afghanistan.
